Withdrawn / Suspended / Inactive Help
Withdrawn An accredited organization may have its accreditation withdrawn voluntarily (i.e. organization decides to terminate accreditation) or by ACLASS.  Accreditations withdrawn by ACLASS typically occur following suspension and as a result of the organizations failure to meet the conditions set forth for the removal of suspension.

Suspended An accredited organization may be suspended if it persistently fails to meet ACLASS requirements, fails to adequately respond to requests from ACLASS, assessment findings cause question regarding the technical competence of the organization, failure to pay all fees owed to ACLASS, or obvious violations against the ACLASS requirements for accreditation.  Typically, specific conditions must be met for suspension to be lifted.

Inactive An organization may be made inactive as a result of a re-location of their laboratory, personnel changes, ownership changes, etc., that may cause the organization to not meet the ACLASS requirements for accreditation.  Inactive status usually applies to organizations where unpredictable circumstances occur.  Inactive status typically lasts no longer than one year.
