ACLASS requires participation in proficiency testing at least
once a year. At times, ACLASS is invited to participate in proficiency testing
programs through regional co-operations (APLAC, IAAC, and ILAC), which
ACLASS is a member. Participation by ACLASS is a mandatory requirement in order
to remain part of the mutual recognition arrangements (MRA) signed by ACLASS. As
a result, ACLASS is typically allowed to nominate a maximum of four laboratories
to participate in rounds of proficiency testing.
Participation in the
regional co-operations (i.e. APLAC, IAAC, ILAC) is typically at no cost to you,
other than the time it takes for your laboratory to perform the tests.
Participation in all other programs normally entails a small fee. Please ensure
you read each program's requirements. Participation by your organization may
meet the yearly proficiency testing requirements according to ACLASS policy.
In addition to the regional co-operations there are
commercial providers of proficiency testing services. ACLASS has compiled a list
of known proficiency testing providers. This list should be used as a guide to
find available proficiency testing providers for the services your organization
offers. ACLASS does not endores any of these providers over another.
ACLASS will update this list as we learn of more proficiency testing
providers.
If you have any questions regarding proficiency testing
programs offered by ILAC, APLAC or IAAC please email pt-ilc@aclasscorp.com. In he
case of commercial providers please contact that organization
directly.
