Documents for ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Accreditation

ACLASS ISO/IEC 17025
Accreditation Requirements (Document 3) - Establishes
policies for and describes the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation
process.
ISO/IEC 17025
Accreditation Checklist - Used by ACLASS to assess
customers against the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. Contains
additional multi-site and on-site requirements and requirements for
compliance to ANSI Z540-1.

ACLASS Guidance on Proficiency
Testing/Inter-Laboratory Comparison PT/ILC
Requirements
Intended to give ACLASS customers, assessors, and experts the
necessary understanding of proficiency testing/inter-laboratory
comparisons to achieve and/or maintain accreditation to ISO/IEC
17025.

Reassessments
Traceability
ACLASS Guidance on
Traceability
Guidance on traceability requirements for ACLASS-accredited labs,
which are required to demonstrate traceability for their reference
standards and reference materials (in most cases includes
measurement uncertainty).
Uncertainty for Testing Labs
ACLASS Guidance on Uncertainty for Testing
Laboratories
Testing customers are required to demonstrate traceability and
measurement uncertainty as defined in this document.
Classification and Assessment of Multi-Site Labs
ACLASS Guidance for Classification and
Assessment of Multi-Site Laboratories
Scopes of Accreditation
ACLASS Guidance on Scopes of
Accreditation
Recommendations and guidance are intended to assist ACLASS
assessors and accredited and applicant labs in drafting scopes of
accreditation, and to allow adherence to both ILAC guidance
documents and ACLASS requirements, while helping standardize
formats across the range of potential accredited tests and
calibrations in the sphere of ISO/IEC 17025-accredited
operations.
Measurement Uncertainty
ACLASS Guidance on Measurement
Uncertainty
Intended for ACLASS-accredited labs to help clearly distinguish
three different terms and types of uncertainty in the ISO/IEC and
ANSI/NCSL Z-540 systems (measurement uncertainty, best measurement
capability, and TUR uncertainty). Accredited labs are required to
demonstrate the measurement uncertainty for each of their
accredited calibration and/or testing procedures.
Uncertainty for Dimensional and Mechanical Calibrations
ACLASS Uncertainty Guidance for
Dimensional and Mechanical Calibrations
Provides examples of uncertainty budgets for hand tools, hand
gages, and scales and balances to help provide a better
understanding of preparing an uncertainty budget. Not intended to
encompass all the statistical treatments required for many
uncertainty determinations. Designed to assist calculations in many
of the simplest situations, not requiring statistical use of
degrees of freedom for example.
