Accreditation of product certification bodies to ISO/IEC Guide
65 is administered by the American National Standards
Institute (ANSI).
ACLASS and ANSI will conduct joint assessments to promote the
global recognition of services provided by testing and calibration
laboratories, inspection bodies, and product certification bodies.
Combining assessment requirements can provide a cost-effective,
value-added resource to organizations involved in multiple
conformity assessment activities.
ACLASS and ANSI are recognized by peer organizations around the
globe through multilateral recognition arrangements with regional
and international bodies. This eliminates the need for customers to
pursue costly multiple assessments and reduces technical barriers
to trade.
