ACLASS Offers Accreditation for Special Inspection Agencies

The ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board has expanded its accreditation areas to include Special Inspection Agencies, with specifics targeted to New York City.

ACLASS accreditation for inspection bodies and inspection agencies allows you to assure your customers of your compliance with international standards and international recognition of good practices, and your technical competence to perform specific types of inspections. ACLASS accreditation also provides a ready means for customers to identify and select reliable inspection services to meet their needs.

ACLASS uses ISO/IEC 17020 and IAF/ILAC A4 for accreditation of inspection bodies. This program is also based on the requirements of the International Building Code. The application form includes a list of inspection areas for which accreditation may be applied.

ACLASS welcomes the opportunity to accredit inspection agencies within the New York City metropolitan area whose goal is to become compliant with the rules of NY section 101-06.

The mission of ACLASS is to be a leader in guiding the international development of accreditation processes that build confidence and value for stakeholders worldwide and providing high quality and reliable accreditation services with the most professional value-added services for customers and end users.

ACLASS is one of the most respected accreditation bodies in the United States and worldwide. As a signatory to the ILAC multilateral recognition arrangement (MRA), ACLASS is held to the strictest standards of assessment and accreditation.
