ANAB and IAAR Invite Survey Input

Does accredited conformity assessment meet the needs of consumers of the products and services of certified organizations? In hopes of finding out, the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board/ANAB and the Independent Association of Accredited Registrars (IAAR) have launched an all stakeholder survey for the management systems conformity assessment industry.

The objective of the survey is to gain feedback on accredited third-party management systems conformity assessment from all stakeholders for knowledge and improvement. Respondent categories include ABs, CBs, certified companies, regulatory bodies, trade associations, certified company customers, and consumers of certified companies' products. Areas of inquiry include ISO, IAF, ABs (including assessors), CBs (including auditors), certified companies, training providers, and consultants. The survey is being managed through Isometric Solutions.

While ANAB routinely surveys the certification bodies it accredits and IAAR-member certification bodies survey their clients, this survey is an attempt to get feedback from those who rely on accredited third-party conformity assessment. Survey results will be used to build knowledge and as a basis for continual improvement.

The survey will be accessible for an extended period of time. After a substantial quantity of results is obtained, ANAB and IAAR will evaluate whether or not to continue gathering data.
